What can Australia do?
There are only a small number of treatment & aid centres that have been put in place worldwide to help ex-child soldiers focus on rehabilitation and reintegration back into their communities.
The Australian government currently does not focus any aids towards this cause. Our main focus point at Kids at War is to lobby the Australian government to provide aid in order to help ex-child soldiers rehabilitate and reintegrate into their communities. This is not an easy task to undertake, and by providing specific funding to these children will help deliver the appropriate education and vocational training for a better life.
